The day

1. Hotel pick-up in Zurich at 8.30am (about an hour and a half to Elm, past the Walensee and up the Sernf valley)
2. In summer, the Elmer Citro spring (weekdays) and the Tschinglen cable car, at the foot of the Tschingelhörner and the Martinsloch; in winter, the gondola up to the Ämpächli and the 4 km sledge run back down to the village
3. Lunch in Elm, in the village or on the mountain
4. The village of Elm: the timber houses, Wakker Prize 1981, the Suworow-Haus of 1799, and the trail over what the 1881 landslide left behind
5. The Walensee seen from above, from the Kerenzerberg in Filzbach
6. Back at your hotel around 5.45pm
